Responsibilities
CNBC's Strategic Content team is looking for an experienced business news editor to brainstorm, assign, edit and report stories for a wide array of CNBC Digital special reports, including:
• Exclusive franchise lists and surveys
• Extended coverage of CNBC events
• Companion coverage of CNBC TV segments
• Digital original series

The Editor will be a steward of these editorial brands, working with other members of the Strategic Content Team, as well as the TV and Digital newsroom, to produce content across a range of subjects in business and financial news. Stories will frequently be sponsor supported, though they are editorially independent and adhere to CNBC's rigorous editorial standards.

What you'll do:
• Editing:
• Collaborate on the development of story lists and assign articles to reporters
• Edit content for clarity, style, grammar and adherence to CNBC standards and practices
• Writing:
• Report stories for special reports
• Pitch ideas for new articles, videos and entire special reports
• Collaboration:
• Work with CNBC.com section editors and their reporters, who also contribute content for special report
• Facilitate digital coverage of CNBC Events
• Partner with CNBC TV on cross-platform opportunities

Qualifications/Requirements
What you'll bring:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience writing & editing in a variety of business news verticals including finance, technology, small business, entrepreneurship, or health care
• Exceptional journalism, reporting and editing skills
