Responsibilities
As a Business Planning & Operations Manager for CNBC's Direct to Consumer business you will play a key role in shaping CNBC's DTC path with a clear focus on operational planning, project management and identifying new partnership opportunities.
In this role you will build and manage project and key initiative plans with operational leaders across product, editorial, marketing, customer experience, analytics, and finance. These project plans will align to our KPIs across acquisition and retention and will focus on keeping teams on track to ensure results are being delivered according to timelines and priorities.
This role will also be responsible for evaluating new partnership opportunities to help fuel the growth core DTC products CNBC Pro and CNBC Investing Club with Jim Cramer. This includes identifying a pipeline of companies and organizations to partner with and managing internal NBCU subscription partnerships in collaboration with the DTC marketing team.
Responsibilities
• Planning and Project management
• Taking on operational leadership of projects as needed, whether building an ops function for a new business line, or managing complex cross-functional efforts to deliver key business outcomes.
• Tracking milestones of project plans and reporting out to leadership on progress, challenges and issues.
• Supporting cross-functional leaders on managing projects for key initiatives.
• Developing weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting on all projects driving the DTC business across groups.
• Coordinate with the Product-led PMO to update stakeholders on product development progress and initiatives.
• Partnership Development
• Conduct strategic industry market insights and analysis including competitive landscape analysis to help formulate go to market plans.
• Build pipeline of potential partnerships to drive acquisition and retention.
• Lead opportunity sizing and develop a clear understanding of what success looks like for each partnership opportunity.
• Partner with Business Development and Marketing to implement and operationalize new Partnerships.
Qualifications/Requirements
• 5+ years of proven experience in business operations, consulting, strategic planning or product management
• Experience in developing project roadmaps and strategic planning around major growth initiatives
• Strong business acumen: ability to approach complex business problems in a structured way and drive rapidly towards insight
• Strong people influencing skills, including a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Superior verbal and written communication skills at all levels of an organization Experience with planning process, and/or metrics and measurement desired
• Team player with a positive attitude who thrives in a collaborative work environment
