POSITION SUMMARY:
Join our dynamic team at 'Rock Entertainment Sports Network (RESN)' as our 'Director, Multi-Media Sales' to work with a team of local Media Executives to achieve 'Rock Entertainment Sports Network (RESN)' sales revenue goals and build/maintain client relationships. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of linear and digital media tied to sports programming. This candidate must be a competitive and creative leader with the ability to create a winning culture. Digital Sales and Traditional Media experience required.
RESN (Rock Entertainment Sports Network) is a regional sports television network based in Ohio, launched as a joint venture between Rock Entertainment Group-headed by Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert-and Gray Media, a leading media company that owns and operates stations across the country. The network began broadcasting in August 2024 and is available free over-the-air in Cleveland (channel 22.1), Columbus (channel 17.1), and Cincinnati (channel 19.3), with additional distribution through Spectrum cable and plans for broader cable, satellite, and streaming availability across Ohio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identify and prospect potential clients, including sports networks, advertisers, agencies, and other relevant stakeholders within the sports industry.
• Manage and grow an account list. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients to maximize revenue opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Present and pitch media advertising solutions to clients, leveraging knowledge of sports programming and media trends to effectively address client needs and objectives.
• Collaborate with the internal team to create customized media proposals, including pricing, inventory availability, and creative opportunities, to meet client requirements.
• Negotiate and close sales deals, including contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the company and the client.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions, providing insights and recommendations to enhance the company's media offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, regularly report on sales activities, revenue forecasts, and market trends to management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of media campaigns and exceptional customer service.
• Participate in the development of strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for linear and digital media sales tied to sports programming.
• Stay updated with technological advancements, emerging media platforms, and digital advertising innovations, incorporating them into sales strategies and solutions.
• Oversight of all digital sales products, inventory management, and pricing strategies.
• Interface with operational systems such as Wide Orbit, Matrix, Research Analytics, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in media sales, with a focus on selling linear and digital media tied to sports programming.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the media industry, with a strong portfolio of successful client relationships.
• Understanding of the sports industry, including sports programming, leagues, events, and the associated media landscape.
• Experience managing a sales team is preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex media solutions to clients effectively.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to create compelling value propositions and drive revenue growth.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• A self-motivated and driven individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment and demonstrates a passion for media sales and the sports industry.
