The Director/Executive Director of Acquisitions position is responsible for acquiring all/limited rights for completed and or packaged films/series at script stage on an exclusive or non-exclusive basis to ensure a steady stream of product for all Cineverse's distribution needs.

Essential Functions
• Source content (new or library) from producers, production companies, sales reps, and other Licensors.
• Seek out and negotiate output and library deals for Cineverse Streaming Networks.
• Screen and provide coverage for content from both a creative and business perspective.
• Review and run P&Ls to support content acquisition investments.
• Draft proposals and negotiate material business terms.
• Work with legal/operations/channel managers/marketing and sales to steward the deal to execution.
• Summarize completed deals and communicate business terms to all relevant department heads.
• Track and provide Licensor payments to finance and accounting.
• Manage and maintain content tracking logs.
• Festival / Market research and set meetings/screenings.
• Renew rights across multiple deals for company channels, releases and brand distribution extensions.
• Provide and coordinate and avails to the Streaming Networks teams to create a title selection list.
• Coordinate delivery and marketing calls with licensors and their assigned internal teams.

Essential Qualifications/Competencies
• Bachelor's Degree and some education or experience in film acquisitions
• 3-5 years work experience in entertainment – agency, production company, film sales or distribution experience
• Some financial and legal understanding a plus
• Strong Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Works effectively with others across all departments
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and to think outside the box
• Strong analytical skills
• Must be able to multi-task
• Passion or interest in film and television
