Marketing Coordinator – Chicago White Sox
Overview:
Reporting to the Manager of Marketing & Fan Engagement, the Marketing Coordinator will manage and assist with marketing initiatives of the Chicago White Sox including, but not limited to, our street team, youth marketing, and special events.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Coordination and execution of the Chicago White Sox Street Team, including planning brand activations at Chicagoland events, scheduling staff, on-site management, event set-up and tear-down, and post-event recaps
• Assist in running youth marketing programs including the Kids Club, Newborn Club, and Good Grades Program
• Assist in the supervision of marketing programs and staff during home games including the Kids Club, First Game Certificate Program, and MLB Ballpark App Check-In areas
• Assist with CHISOX Athlete, the White Sox NIL program
• Oversee the scheduling of and communication with approximately 30 part-time Street Team and Day of Game staff members
• Contribute to the planning process for large-scale marketing events hosted at the ballpark including event preparation and event-day execution.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills
• Must have a proven track record of collaborative leadership skills
• Strong communicator, both verbal and written
• Creative thinker with the desire to develop and execute programs supporting and promoting the White Sox brand
• Highly organized, detailed, and comfortable multi-tasking
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in the sports and/or events industry is preferred
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays (based on team's home baseball schedule and events schedule)
