Writer/Producer
OVERVIEW / ROLE DETAILS
A rare opportunity to join the award-winning CBS LA in-house creative team in Los Angeles, California. Must possess a true passion for creating unique visual multi-platform marketing in a :30, :20, :10, :05 and rapidly changing digital, social, and streaming world.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Our team is searching for a skilled storyteller that can develop, produce and write promotional material to advance our uniquely authentic brand – content that will set us apart in a very competitive market.
• Develop, produce, and write promotional material for CBS LA in support of the brand and Creative Services team
• Plan, write and fully produce compelling short-form image, promotional spots, topicals, and long-form content and digital / OTT projects as assigned.
• Storytelling and crafting promos that have high production value
• Manage multiple projects under occasional extreme deadline pressure.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of experience
• This is not an entry-level position, and previous news marketing experience is strongly encouraged, with an emphasis on digital/social production.
• Candidate must have experience editing and creating with Premiere & occasional After Effects. Must be able to supervise graphics production, select and edit music and properly mix sound within their projects.
• Candidate must have the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Must deliver network quality work under tight deadlines with a sense of urgency
• Must be willing to join the WGA.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• A creative reel or links to work clearly demonstrating original concepts and writing and advanced post-production knowledge with a focus on Adobe Premiere is preferred.
• Candidate also needs to possess excellent communication, presentation, organization, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks when assigned.
• We need a strong team player who adds personality and talent to our department of talented Producers, Photographers, Editors and Designers.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $81,950.00 - 87,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
