PT Writer

Position: PART TIME WRITER/VIDEO EDITOR

Compensation: ($20/hour) and eligibility for 401(k) Plan after completion of one year of employment with 1,000 hours of service in the 12 consecutive month period starting with the 1st day of employment, or failing that, in any subsequent calendar year.

DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for writing copy for newscasts, including vo, vo/sots and packages. May be responsible for breaking news coverage. Participate in editorial meetings, developing content and contributing to all broadcast and digital platforms.

Must be a master of storytelling and the written word. Video editing skills a plus. Understand top story treatment, elementing of stories, ''news now'' production style, effective teasing, aggressive use of live elements, and innovation of presentation are helpful.
Overnight/Day/Weekend Shifts.

REQUIREMENTS: Television experience

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Entry level.
