Weekend PM Anchor / MSJ

Job Description

CBS4 in Miami has an opening for a Weekend Anchor who can act as MSJ, field producer; gather news in person and via telephone; write news scripts for broadcast; write specific editing instructions for videotape editors; supply character generator operator with information for news reports; develop and maintain news sources in the community suggest story ideas to assignment desk; do live reports from field or studio; write copy and assist in other areas relating to the production of newscasts; provide notes, agendas, minutes and other documents for inclusion in clipping file; working knowledge of libel, slander, and personal attack laws; assist other reports with the transfer of information; help photographers with gear in the field; perform live or prerecorded as specified by WFOR in promotional, public service or trade announcements; other such duties as may be required from time to time.

Requirements:

Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of television reporting experience, including live reporting, series work, and spot news reporting. Should also have an understanding of computer systems in the newsroom.
