Weekend Anchor/Reporter - KTVT (Dallas/Fort Worth)

DESCRIPTION:

CBS KTVT-TV in Dallas/Fort Worth has an opening for an experienced Anchor/Reporter to join our news team. The ideal candidate will anchor weekend mornings and then cover general assignment news during the week.
Other duties include: enterprising story ideas, daily general assignment, fill-in anchoring.

The successful candidate will be a strong on-air communicator with command of the news desk. This is not just a news reader position. Must be able to handle everything from breaking news, to live shots, to on-set interviews and live demonstrations. Must be a strong writer as you will contribute to writing for the newscast.

Knowledge of the DFW Market is a plus. All candidates must be engaged digitally; utilizing multi-platform content distribution and display strong social media skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All candidates should have five years' experience anchoring and reporting in a middle to large size market; journalism or allied degree preferred. Must be flexible based on newsroom needs.
