PT WEATHER ANCHOR/REPORTER
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Anchor newscasts as assigned 2) Accountable for leadership in executing First Alert Weather coverage 3) Accountable for driving severe weather coverage: Win breaking weather. Within reason, be prepared for first on, last off in weather coverage. 4) Accountable for mastery and consistent usage of weather equipment and other tools 5) Accountable for strong and accurate forecasting. 6) Accountable for live in the field weather reporting. 7) Participates in station appearances and promotions as required. 8) Accountable for staying up to date on the latest in weather forecasting, weather technology and weather information. 9) Any other duties as assigned by News Director.
REQUIREMENTS: Large market TV broadcasting experience. Meteorology degree.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: TV experience and street reporting experience. Minimum five years in broadcasting. Strong leadership potential.
Compensation: ($35 - $37.50/hour) and eligibility for 401(k) Plan after completion of one year of employment with 1,000 hours of service in the 12 consecutive month period starting with the 1st day of employment, or failing that, in any subsequent calendar year
The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check prior to beginning employment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $35.00 - 37.50.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
