Position Purpose: KDKA-TV has an opening for a Tech Specialist in the Engineering Department.

Primary Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to

 A working knowledge of Television Station Operations, including, but not limited to, transmission, encoding and decoding, equipment installation, configuration and repair, and other duties as assigned. This includes Over-the-Air and Online Properties.

 Collaborating with other members of the Engineering Team on project planning and execution.

 Customer Service to other departments, including effectively and quickly troubleshooting and correcting issues.

 Be able to multi-task and juggle multiple projects at one time.

 All aspects of this position require heavy computer knowledge.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

 Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Broadcast Television Station Engineering.

 College degree preferred, but not required.
