CBS2/KCAL9 has an immediate opening for a Technical Operations Center (TOC) Technician for the Los Angeles Duopoly. The Technical Operations Center (TOC) Technician is responsible for working as a team with editorial staff and field crews in acquiring, routing and operating equipment for the KCBS2/KCAL9 News operation.

Job Function:

Duties include acquiring and routing technically accurate signals. A successful candidate must have a sound understanding of RF and evolving technologies with the ability to multi-task under deadline pressures. Bring a ''can-do'' approach to problem solving in a fast paced-high energy environment. Also, open to implementing new technologies and/or methods to accomplish future assignments.
• Knowledge of RF principles (Microwave and Satellite tuning)
• DENG & DSNG truck operation skills a plus
• Safely operate news gathering equipment
• Knowledge of Cellular Bonding systems (Dejero, LiveU)
• Schedule and record live feeds
• Edit stories quickly and accurately
• Sound technical decisions under pressure

Required:
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment
• Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude & leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities a must.
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
