Sr Manager Audience Development / Growth
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement effective marketing and growth strategies to drive traffic and increase engagement on CBS News and Stations website, mobile, and CTV platforms.
• Work closely with station editorial and marketing teams to set and use local strategies and tactics across multiple platforms (search, email, display and social).
• Create and execute cross-functional marketing plans and growth strategies.
• Work closely with the local editorial teams to identify new content strategy opportunities, and advise on day-to-day optimizations, such as headline writing for search and social media.
• Monitor our referral partners to ensure that our content is to the point, timely and effectively distributed, and make recommendations for additional partners.
• Develop and own goals and performance metrics for station social accounts; report on efficiency of strategies and pivot as needed.
• Primary liaison between CBS and social and distribution platforms, with deep focus on monetization and return of investment.
• Assure that stations are properly representing CBS brands in their social posts and digital marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with other divisions of CBS and Paramount to support company programming initiatives.
• Act as the Center of Excellence and trusted advisor to staff across the group.
Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in audience development, social media, or marketing within media or similar field. News is a plus.
• Deep understanding of third-party social platforms and publishing tools.
• Experience with social and digital analytics tools to deeply understand performance and optimize accordingly.
• Must be able to manage working both independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail.
• BA or BS in related field
