Job Description

KCNC-TV (CBS4/Denver) is seeking a serious sports journalist and creative storyteller for our weekend sports anchor, MSJ, and producer position. Candidate must be highly motivated, energetic and enthusiastic about covering a wide range of sports in Colorado. Must be passionate for both breaking hard news stories and developing unique and compelling community sports stories. Strong writing, producing, editing, and shooting required. Ideal candidate gets beyond the scores, highlights, practice video and podium sound. We are looking for someone who connects with the community through sports reporting and anchoring. Person will anchor sportscasts, field anchor large events and co-anchor sports shows.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Large market TV broadcasting experience. Strong writing and production values a must. Shooting/editing/producing skills required. Minimum 5-years sports anchoring/reporting experience with extensive live field work is required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $70,000.00 - 85,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
