Job Description
The Freelance Sideline Sports Reporter will provide sports coverage for the Sacramento River Cats games aired on KMAX. Knowledge of a variety of popular sports is required as well as on-going issues related to the sports industry. As a sports reporter, you will be required to cover and report outside of the TV station. Proven experience working in multiple digital platforms will enhance your application. Must be able to professionally deliver information, clearly and concisely in a television and digital format. Engaging, compelling writing and excellent oral skills are essential.
Must have at least 3 years of professional television experience, with at least 2 years as a sports reporter/anchor. Familiarity with the California region and a knowledge of the area's predominant sports franchises and local collegiate teams is desired.

Hiring Salary Range: $68.75 - 68.75.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
