DESCRIPTION:

As Senior Digital Web Producer, you would be second in command of the Digital Team. You would be the Team Leader and the Newsroom Leader when the Digital Manager is not there. Responsible for execution and managing Digital strategy to maximize Traffic and User engagement across multiple platforms. Understanding of analytics for the purpose of reporting growth and tracking traffic daily on the website and social media. Ability to make independent editorial decisions on writing, producing and showcasing news content consistent with the station philosophy and brand objectives. Respond quickly and effectively to breaking news across all platforms. Assign reporters to generate updates on social media, fresh content, video and pictures for digital platforms. Assign digital producers stories as needed. Ability to multi-task, communication and coordinate with Assignment Editors and TV Producers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

At least five to seven years of Digital News Experience. Must be social media savvy. Strong writing, editorial and leadership skills. Must understand how a TV Newsroom operates.

Must be a self-starter who can work independently to achieve Digital goals. Ability to write and edit scripts. Ability to build an editorial plan for digital with other managers for covering special events and making sweeps content shine on digital.

Preferred:

Candidate with basic video editing skills and graphic design skills is important and preferred.
