Overview / Role Details:

CBS News Colorado is looking for an innovative news producer who wants to become a leader! The candidate will be able to thrive and be an expert in the booth, know how to let the content dictate the format and understands top story treatment, urgent production style and excels at conversational writing.

Responsibilities Include:
• Coordinate daily production of a newscast and occasionally produce content for our streaming platform.
• Assist with digital, social, and breaking news coverage.
• May need to work weekends.
• Writing, producing, and editing content.

Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience as a line producer

Additional Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have a strong understanding and ability to incorporate the web into daily coverage.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $67,000.00 - 70,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
