Education:

College Degree Preferred

Duties:
*Assist fellow Producers and Managers to lead a team of Anchors, Reporters, Photographers, Editors and Writers
* Helps with daily production, content and aggressive execution of news
* Write scripts to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance with all FCC requirements
* Must have strong organizational and communication skills and be willing to work overnights and weekends
* Exhibit sound judgment in formatting newscasts
* Ability to perform desktop editing
* Conceptualize ways to tell stories without video

Experience Requirements:
* 2 to 3 years of news producing experience required
* Knowledge of news content
* Must have ability to handle breaking news and use teasing skills
* Must understand how to use social media as an effective editorial and promotional tool
* Must be able to assign crews, monitor police, fire and other agencies to pursue news stories

Familiar With:

iNews news computer system; personal computer, edit equipment, Grass Valley Stratus/Edius
