DESCRIPTION:

CBS 11 News is looking for a dynamic, creative, self-motivated Multi-Platform Content Director to drive daily content, big stories, breaking news and special projects. The candidate must be knowledgeable, passionate, engaged, accountable and competitive, leading the news team to build its brand and achieve audience goals. The ideal candidate will generate ideas for improving workflow, content and production to drive audience growth on television and all digital platforms. Candidate will work closely with News Director on strategic planning, hiring, scheduling, and newsroom administration. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate must possess excellent news judgment and leadership skills. Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, management or related field or comparable television management work experience preferred. The candidate must have a proven ability to lead, coach, motivate and solve problems. Applicants should have a minimum five years of experience in a medium/large television market or network, with at least two years in management. A flexible schedule is required.
