OVERVIEW:
CBS Colorado is seeking a dedicated and driven Video Photographer/Editor to join our Mountain Bureau team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, has a passion for storytelling, and can operate independently in the field-often in challenging weather conditions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Capture compelling video content with creative shooting structures
• Edit news packages under tight deadlines with precision and speed
• Troubleshoot technical issues on location with minimal support
• Collaborate with reporters and producers to deliver high-quality stories
• Drive safely in winter weather conditions across mountainous terrain
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven experience in video photography and editing, preferably in a TV news environment
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling and editing software (Avid Composer, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Suite)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Comfortable working solo in remote locations
• Residency in Summit County is strongly preferred
• Valid driver license is required
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Prior experience in a broadcast news setting
• Familiarity with field production equipment and workflows
• Strong communication and organizational skills

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $80,000.00 - 90,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
