KCNC TV – DENVER

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Anchor newscasts as assigned 2) Accountable for leadership in executing First Alert Weather coverage 3) Accountable for driving severe weather coverage: Win breaking weather. Within reason, be prepared for first on, last off in weather coverage. 4) Accountable for mastery and consistent usage of weather equipment and other tools. 5) Accountable for strong and accurate forecasting. 6) Accountable for live-in-the-field weather reporting. 7) Participates in station appearances and promotions as required. 8) Accountable for staying up to date on the latest in weather forecasting, weather technology, and weather information. 9) Any other duties as assigned by the News Director.

REQUIREMENTS: Mid to large market TV broadcasting experience. Meteorology degree.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: TV experience and street reporting experience. Minimum five years in broadcasting. Strong leadership potential.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $85,000.00 - 90,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
