KCBS2/KCAL9 is seeking a qualified IT professional whose training and experience will provide strong customer service and collaboration as we handle and operate a leading multi-media facility in Studio City, CA. This facility and your contributions will support our continuing transition into the converged world of Broadcasting and Information Systems Technology including SMPTE ST 2110.

Successful candidates will be part of a dynamic professional team that will bring the IT operation to the next level.
Overview and Responsibilities
• Responsible for secondary support of the KCBS/KCAL server environment and will work multi-functionally with other team members to ensure a high level of security, performance, and availability.
• Perform the daily work needed to configure, deploy, and diagnose: Windows and MacOS endpoints and peripherals, IT media, and content management systems, including trans-coders, servers, routers, workstations, virtual environment, cloud, gateways, and network.
• Administration of endpoint management using client automation software including SCCM BitLocker, and other system management technologies.
• The Specialist will assist and train end users in the best use of technology and file-based video workflows. Also, provide standard processes support for remote desktop and VPN access.
• Create documentation and deliver training to operators and management based on software standards and workflow functionality.
• Perform configuration and troubleshooting of infrastructure equipment. This includes, but is not limited to servers, windows, Linux, MAC, mass storage devices, broadcast proprietary devices, RTOS-based systems, and IT infrastructure equipment
• Maintain awareness of the Information Technology edge as it relates to our business.
• Flexibility to work overtime hours and weekends as needed.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:
• Five years working in a Desktop Support role with over two-hundred users.
• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer sciences and/or 4 years equivalent work experience.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of large-scale networking, Spine and Leaf Architecture, routers, metadata, subnet masking, V-LAN, Hyper-V, VMWare, SQL database management, client-server concepts, file transcoding, port management, firewall, MPEG, HEVC media archiving, metadata, active directory implementation, MOS protocol, SNMP, and browser applications.
• Able to solve PC and MAC platforms and applications including web-based browser systems, email, and firewall coordination with vendors.
• Experience in media and a minimum of 10 years of direct work in IT, networking, servers, and databases.
• A clear understanding of current wireless (WiFi/Bluetooth/5G) system protocols and future system architectures.
• Familiarity with security software, DMZ, applications, and commonly used encryption algorithms, NAS, SAN, and Linux.
• Self-directed, and adaptable to implement and handle changes. Responsibility oriented.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $73,000.00 - 100,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
