ASSOCIATE DIGITAL PRODUCER

CBS News Boston is seeking a journalist to write and produce content across our digital and streaming platforms. This is an editorial position within the WBZ-TV newsroom, with a heavy focus on live video streaming and news writing.

Associate Digital Producers will create content for our streaming service CBS News Boston, the CBS Boston website, and social media channels. The ideal candidate is technically savvy, has unwavering news judgment, strong news writing and copy-editing skills, demonstrated social media experience, and brings fresh ideas to the table.

Responsibilities Include:
• Work with WBZ-TV newsroom to write and produce compelling content for the digital consumer.
• Assist in the building and coding of live and on-demand newscast rundowns with regard to video, graphics, scripts and other elements.
• Assist with timing in a control room environment.
• Make sure all written and video content is optimized using SEO strategies.
• Contribute to CBS Boston social media accounts within established strategies, brand, and policies.

Qualifications:
• Degree in Journalism or related.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an editorial position within a newsroom, digital publication, or related field.
• Ability to produce compelling social media posts with strong engagement rates.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SEO strategies.
• Basic photo and video editing experience.
• Familiarity with Avid editing systems, iNews, and Wordpress.
• Shifts may include early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays; CBS Boston is a 24-hour news operation.
