We are looking for an expert assignment desk editor to facilitate coverage in a multi-platform newsroom. This person will research, develop, and assign news stories. This individual will deal with all aspects of the public, and display a high degree of sensitivity to the concerns of viewers and constituencies with different points of view. The Assignment Editor will command all current events topics, including local news, national news, cultural affairs, and sports. In addition to assignment desk responsibilities this candidate will work on CBSN Boston, a live streaming network, as an Associate Digital Line Producer.

REQUIREMENTS:
- The candidate must have a working knowledge of television technology and news gathering techniques.
- The role requires close coordination with Producers for live programs, writing headlines, and editing.
- Must be available nights and weekends.
- The ideal candidate will also have proven news management experience.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred and major market TV experience.
