CBS Television Stations group seeks an Account Executive with successful experience in broadcast and OTT sales. This position is for an Account Executive who has had great success selling advertising the way it WAS, the way it IS and most importantly, the way it is GOING TO BE!
This is a hybrid-remote position in our Southfield, MI office. Candidate will represent WWJ (CBS Detroit) and WKBD (CW Detroit 50) locally, in addition to other CBS Owned & Operated TV stations regionally and Paramount+ and Pluto TV streaming assets with reach across 210 DMAs nationwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Grow existing and build new business in linear/digital/streaming platforms. New Business is expected at a high level.
• Securing contract renewals with increased market share through cross-selling/up selling additional platforms and solutions.
• Develop and implement strategies for improving high-profile properties such as NFL, Big Ten College Football, PGA Golf, WNBA, NCAA Men's and Women's College Basketball, UEFA Soccer, NWSL Women's Professional Soccer and CW Network sports.
• Enhance revenue using high profile network prime specials including The Golden Globes, The Grammy's, Tony Awards, CMA Awards, Daytime Emmy's, Primetime Emmy's, MTV-VMA awards and the Kennedy Center Honors.
• Promote and sell Paramount's unmatched streaming solutions and understand how they complement broadcast TV.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
• Create, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
• Explore innovative and non-traditional avenues to generate revenue.
• Build customized, client-focused solutions that demonstrate the value of Paramount.
• Help foster a positive, collaborate work environment with internal team members, ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient performance.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• 5+ years of experience in advertising sales with an emphasis in broadcast and OTT streaming products among direct publishers or re-sellers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in the business development arena.
• Depth in structuring and owning the sales cycle to closing business.
• Applications including Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Nielsen, Comscore and WideOrbit
• Willingness to learn, adjust and apply mentorship in a rapidly advancing workspace driven by local-market attribution and advanced targeting in both linear and streaming platforms.
• Exceptional time management skills are required.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
• Minimum : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Major: Marketing/ Advertising/ Sales
