THIS IS A FULL-TIME STAFF POSITION.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is hiring a Segment Assistant to work with the Segment Department. This person is responsible for supporting and collaborating with two Associate Producers, four Segment Producers, three Segment Researchers, and a Supervising Producer on interview segments. Must be accustomed to working under tight deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with the entire Segment Team on every aspect and execution of guest segments.
• Update and maintain talent grid for segment producers and researchers.
• Attend and represent the segment department at the morning writer's meeting, digital meeting, and field questions on upcoming guests.
• Work with the associate producers to make sure courtesy information/legal clearances are cleared before airtime.
• Send out the Guest Packet each evening to Segment team.
• Keep track of guest pitches via a Scripto document.
• In charge of planning all department events (parties! Goodbyes! etc).
• Point person between department and building needs as well as IT and Production.
• Keep a running spreadsheet of pre-interviews/clips/screeners per week and updating all talent/desk bit on boards.
• Taking detailed notes in guest questions.
• Drop completed Blue Cards throughout the building.
• Point person for any inter-department needs.
• Help pitch ideas for guest segments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent organizational skills (and a love of organization).
• A love and enthusiastic knowledge of all things pop culture, politics, and late night.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to interact with high profile talent and executives.
