Job Description
The Marketing Coordinator assists in the development, organization, and management of general CBS Sports marketing initiatives. This will focus on supporting the Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams with creative & marketing requests and merchandise order management. This role will support Affiliate and Event marketing projects as assigned by the VP, Marketing Operations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL MARKETING / PROJECT MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
• Assist in production of advertising media, marketing materials, Sales, or other promotional materials. Ensure that messages are supportive of and consistent with marketing strategies
• Facilitate approvals of all creative with partner leagues
• Create promotional marketing plan PowerPoint presentations as well as overall marketing campaign recap PPTs for linear properties. Work with Programming, Promos, and Media teams to track promotion to ensure we are meeting contractual obligations
• Assist in creation of, and maintain inventory of, promotional merchandise and materials including but not limited to quality control and brand management
• Interface with internal divisions within CBS Sports, external divisions of Paramount, other leagues and properties, as well as marketing vendors
• Coordinate web content updates
• Support the in-house marketing and design team by coordinating and collecting content, sourcing images, and checking copy for digital tune-in assets
• Support EVP of Marketing with administrative duties including expenses, scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, creating agendas for departmental meetings and other miscellaneous duties
• Attend and take notes at marketing meetings
• Keep Marketing and Creative Services department up to date on any Programming and PR updates
• Assist team members with day-to-day marketing tasks and coordinating marketing projects and activities as requested
• Maintain files and information for key vendors such as contacts, quotes, RFPs, etc.
CONSUMER / GRASSROOTS / EVENT MARKETING (as needed)
• Support the planning and execution of consumer marketing programs that result in increased viewership and overall engagement with the brand, and provide project and administrative support for such programs
• Handle logistics and pre-production of event as necessary to ensure seamless event
• Provide on the ground presence and support during marketing events (some travel required)
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 1 year of relevant marketing experience
• Passion for marketing, sports, and television. Experience in sports or media industry a plus.
• Must have solid understanding of major pro and college sports, with understanding of latest news. Familiarity with sports properties covered by CBS Sports is required.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Confident and outgoing personality, well organized, and self-motivated with the ability to problem solve
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Google suite (Slides, Docs, Sheets), Smartsheet, and Airtable is a plus
• Understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $53,000.00 - 60,400.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
