Coordinator, Media Services- CBS Sports (Freelance)

The Coordinator, Media Services facilitates the movement of physical and digital media through the production, post-production, broadcast and archive workflows for CBS Sports. Responsibilities include the coordination and fulfillment of duplication, transcoding and ingest requests. This position will also provide support in maintaining all internal systems designed for digital asset management.

Responsibilities:
• Fulfillment of incoming media requests for the distribution of digital content used for various CBS Sports production entities.
• Work in conjunction with transmission operators, assignment desk and AD's to insure the proper scheduling, recording and distribution of ingested media.
• Catalog ingested media in asset management systems and perform quality control on all meta-data resulting in optimized search capabilities for production.
• Utilize digital asset management systems to archive, restore and distribute media required for Studio, Remote or Post-Production projects.
• Coordinate the successful completion of digital media requests with an understanding of various video file codecs.
• Initiate and maintain all scheduled media archive requests required by production to maintain system efficiency.
• Knowledge of various media file formats and the ability to transcode digital media to meet studio or remote production requirements.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS in related field preferred or equivalent experience
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail required
• Basic knowledge of file formats and transcoding software
• Solid computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with Digital Asset Management systems a plus
• Ability to work varied schedule, including swing and 3rd shift as required
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Hiring Salary Range: $42400.0 - 53000.0.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
