Job Description
CBS News is seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Manager to join our finance team. The Manager will be responsible for cash flow, balance sheet and capital expenditures. The Manager perform a broad range of financial activities including playing a significant leading role in leading the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, preparing reports, and presentations and analysis required by leadership. As a Manager, you will also be responsible for providing financial guidance to business leaders and assisting with monthly close processes. This role will report into the Director FP&A of CBS News.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Capital Expenditure forecast, budget & long range plan
• Lead the Capital Project Request (CPR) approval process; create CPRs as required
• Capital Expenditure Project Management – review spend to date & project status
• Compile the Depreciation forecast & budget
• FP&A lead for capital project operating expense
• Capital Expenditure consolidation of News & Stations; quarterly presentation to senior leadership
• Cash Flow forecast, budget, long range plan & variance explanations
• Weekly Cash Flow consolidation, Free Cash Flow reporting & cash programming reconciliation
• Balance Sheet forecast, budget, long range plan & variance explanations
• Monthly accrual summary & consolidation
• Accounts Payable review/Cash Requirement; Ad hoc vendor/invoice/payable analysis

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required, a focus in Accounting, Finance, or related area preferred
• 5+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, accounting and financial modeling

Additional Qualifications
• Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint and financial modeling skills
• Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts and accounting principles
• Ability to multitask and work seamlessly across numerous projects / work-streams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem solving and analytical thinking abilities
• Ability to work in a team environment while working independently on multiple tasks
• Knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $85,600.00 - 120,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
