OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

CBS News Miami is looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to join the team as an Executive Producer of Planning! This person is responsible for coordinating and planning the editorial content along with other news managers for all our platforms. The executive producer must have strong organizational skills, strong news judgment, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Content planning to help maintain the editorial calendar, scheduling news stories, features, and special projects
• Assist with the planning of long-term editorial projects and special coverage initiative
• Work closely with other assignment editors, reporters, producers, editors and other key partners to coordinate news coverage
• Assist in the development of story ideas and angles, ensuring a diverse and compelling mix of content
• Set up interviews and follow up on viewer phone calls
• Research information and leads, handle news tips, email, and phone calls

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3+ years assignment desk experience
• Flexible with schedule: breaking news, cover any shifts that need coverage

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• College degree is preferred, but not required
• Expert multi-tasker who thrives under pressure
