DESCRIPTION:

CBS This Morning is seeking a bold and creative Executive Producer with strong leadership skills to prepare and execute a fast-paced daily broadcast. The EP is in constant communication with management, anchors, correspondents and producers to execute a winning strategy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of team leadership with cross-departmental collaborative skills; strong journalistic judgement, and the ability to flourish in a competitive environment. You must be comfortable in a fast-paced newsroom, with the ability to anticipate and respond quickly to change.

Responsibilities:
• Manage a large highly skilled team of anchors, producers, and correspondents
• Work collaboratively and strategically with our news management team
• Demonstrate an inclusive, empowering and results-oriented approach to leadership
• Serve as the editorial point person during broadcast preparation, inside the control room, through the end of each show
• Create a positive work environment for the entire team
• Mentor the team and drive staff development

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years show producing at a local station or news network
• Ability to set and communicate show vision and strategy
• Proven ability to lead and execute strong breaking news coverage
• Demonstrated success building, engaging and leading a large, diverse team of people
• Superior writing and copyediting skills
• Strong written and verbal communicator
• Ability to work nights and weekends, based on breaking news
• Possess technical skills, strategic thinking/decision making
• Strong knowledge of competitive space
