Associate Producer (TEMPORARY)

DESCRIPTION:

The Associate Producer will collaborate on hour-long documentaries for 48 Hours. The docs will be in the 48 Hours style of storytelling, targeted to an audience interest in true crime content.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Will work with producer in finding and researching stories.
• Will pre-interview story subjects and oversee the creation of a binder of research for producer & correspondent
• Will assist producer in setting up the interviews and shoots
• Will supervise a broadcast associate in gathering and logging footage and images
• Will oversee rights and clearances issues in the piece
• Requirements:
• Fact checking experience is required
• Must have strong production and editorial skills
• Extensive journalism experience is essential, experience in covering trials is preferred
