Division Overview:

InsideEdition.com is a category leader in comScore video and a top 10 YouTube property that serves 450 million video views per month. The IE digital team produces dozens of digital articles and videos a day, repackages broadcast content for digital distribution and develops original, digital series.

Role Details:
Our team is seeing a skilled Video Editor to cut digital video packages for Inside Edition Digital and its syndication partners. The ideal candidate is a talented, creative post-production professional who can handle multiple tasks both independently and with supervision. They must be comfortable working with Avid Media Composer and with Adobe Creative Cloud.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Edit original videos of varying length from footage shot and sourced by Inside Edition Digital
• Repackage video segments from Inside Edition's broadcast show for digital distribution
• Create motion graphics for video packages
• Create thumbnail images and other graphics from video assets
• Encode, upload and publish videos on CMS
• Keep pushing forward the look, feel and treatment of InsideEdition.com videos
• Until further notice, work will be done remotely
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Key Projects:
• Edit video packages including short-form, long-form and series-based projects
• Consulting on the development of new video and multimedia projects
• Creating graphics templates and one-off graphics treatments
• Subclipping broadcast segments for digital distribution

QUALIFICATIONS:

What you bring to the team:

You must have -
• BA or BS degree (or equivalent experience), 1+ years' working for a digital news organization
• Excellent video editing skills
• Independent, creative thinking
• Strong interpersonal skills and pride in maintaining incredible attention to detail
• The ability to multitask while responding to the quick pace of news
• A solid understanding of Inside Edition's content and voice
• Contribute to a team that's open to trying new ideas in a welcoming environment
• Ability to stay abreast of industry trends, new software and tools

You may also have:
• Experience with video production
• Live video experience
