Sports Director

Job Description

WRGB CBS6 has an exciting opportunity for Sports Director. You will lead our sports coverage on-air and on-line. We want someone that can create memorable stories that appeal to sports and non-sports fans. You must have a passion for going beyond scores & highlights and telling real stories.

Skills and Experience:
• Strong leader with an amazing work ethic, and time management skills
• Dynamic live television and storytelling skills are a must
• Must be able to shoot, write and edit while working under deadline pressure
• A self-starter who can generate his or her own story ideas on a daily basis

• Ability to demonstrate enterprise sports reporting and creativity in storytelling

• Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to maintain an active social media presence to build brand and solicit original story ideas

• Previous sports experience a must
