We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated Digital Sales Manager/Local Sales Manager who will ensure that all digital objectives, including internet and mobile, maintain or exceed company revenue growth goals, to join our award-winning sales team. Candidate must have proven leadership in providing support and feedback to sales team.
Your responsibilities include:
• Meet with sales staff regularly to provide support and feedback on digital platform integrations or opportunities for our customers.
• Meet and/or communicate with clients regularly to help expedite the closing process to achieve/exceed revenue goals
• Improve existing and develop new initiatives and programs to advance the digital team
• Maintain a well-developed sales team by identifying future staff requirements within sales department
• Execute training for sales management, marketing consultants and new hires
• Ensure effective onboarding of new hires including smooth transition of existing clients to new hire's portfolio
• Gather new media technology, content information and research to provide the sales team with the most competitive advantage
• Maintain high level communications with all station and corporate management, sales staff, as well as vendors
• Present marketing/advertising ideas to area businesses
• Sell commercial advertising time and digital products to local advertisers
• Attain budgeted revenue goals through effective sales solutions, promotions, and service
• Understand the business objectives and advertising strategies of clients and find ways to help them achieve their objectives
• Ensure sales team achieves revenue targets across existing, new, and digital business lines
• Ensure client results, satisfaction and retention and attend sales meetings with key clients to accelerate sales cycle, grow accounts and demonstrate commitment to client success
• Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational, written and presentation skills
• Working knowledge of new media, digital interactive initiatives, social media, and content
• 5 years digital experience, preferably in a TV sales environment and team management
• Competitive, energetic and self-starter
• Ability to lead, train and inspire sales professionals
• Ability to accurately forecast revenue based on client pending and pipelines
• Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
• Broadcast or television management experience is a PLUS
