Graphic Designer Coordinator, Kids and Family (Maternity Leave)

The Job
As a branding ambassador for WBD Kids and Family clusters, he/she must ensure visual consistency and protect the graphic identity of Cartoon Network, Discovery Kids and Cartoonito. This position requires a lot of creativity, playful humor and teamwork! The designer will interact with different areas inside the team (creatives, marketing, producers, other designers, etc) creating visual materials for kids content initiatives. Even though the role will be based and focused in Mexico, the designer will remotely collaborate with the regional team (Argentina and Brazil). He/she will also be working hand on hand with third party agencies and external vendors. Fluent English and excellent communication is required.

The Daily – Major Activities
• Approve Graphic material (with internal partners and external vendors) Time Spent on The Daily 30%
• Create graphic materials for branding projects. Time Spent on The Daily 30%
• Maintain brand consistency throughout all our marketing projects Time Spent on The Daily 10%
• Create visual strategies for marketing campaigns Time Spent on The Daily 20%
• Responsible to get the graphic deliverables from vendors Time Spent on The Daily 10%

The Essentials
• Graphic Design degree, visual arts or relevant field
• 3 to 5 proven work years experience as a graphic designer or similar role
• 3 to 5 proven experience with image editing software, Photoshop and Illustrator
• 3 to 5 strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine colors, fonts and layouts
• Fluent in English
• High creative mind, hands on teamwork player

The Nice to Haves
• Motion graphics animation. Desirable AFTER EFFECTS (software) proven experience
• Illustration (basic skills)
• Experience in Kids and family channel environment
