Capitol Music Group is seeking a Manager, Publicity. In this dynamic position, the ideal candidate is a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills who has their finger on the pulse of music, popular culture and entertainment. The candidate will manage a roster of developing CMG artists across a variety of music genres and support senior publicity team members with their artist rosters, handling regional tour press duties and additional responsibilities as needed. Prior publicity experience in a professional environment is required.

How you'll CREATE:
• Manage strategic and engaging, multi-platform publicity campaigns for developing artists across all genres.
• Develop and continue to grow your existing relationships/contacts at all relevant press outlets including television broadcast, print, online and emerging media.
• Write and distribute pitch letters, press releases, research and develop ideas for bespoke publicity campaigns.
• Pitch and secure national and regional exposure for emerging artists via a variety of media outlets.
• Produce/maintain press reports for artists as needed, keep department contact databases updated.
• Support senior members of the publicity department on a variety of artist campaigns.
• Coordinate artist interview schedules, guestlists, work on special events including album release parties and showcases, red carpet arrivals and more.
• Manage vendor payment and invoicing for all publicity related costs across the publicity department.

Bring your VIBE:
• 3-5 years of experience working in music publicity in a professional environment.
• Passionate about music and knowledgeable about a variety of genres, acts and artists.
• Strong understanding of the US music media landscape and entertainment culture at large.
• Possess excellent written/verbal communication and relationship building skills.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented, proactive, resourceful, and accountable.
• Deliver results accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Forward-thinking trustworthy team player with great social and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task, manage different projects simultaneously and keep information organized and highly confidential.
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Digital/Social media savvy.
