The Role
CAA is seeking a Technology Governance Leader to join its Technology team and support the CTO. This Executive is responsible for driving the CTO's strategic vision and ensuring it is carried out in a controlled manner. The incumbent will lead the agenda for the Office of the CTO as well as partner on the CTO's priorities, including Technology Vendor Management, Technology Risk Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery Planning, IT General Controls, IT Service Management transformation, and Audits and Compliance Reviews.
This role will be tasked with driving insights into action. The Technology Governance Leader role is also responsible for key governance, operational rhythms and processes and crafting a holistic view of operational mechanics.
What you will do
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework, encompassing risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including roadmap creation and execution.
• Establish and maintain systems and processes for Policies, Procedures, Standards, and Compliance management, including implementing tools and applications to support best practice Risk Management.
• Lead the transformation of IT service management practices, aligning with industry best practices (e.g., ITIL framework).
• Drive the adoption of ITSM tools and technologies to improve service delivery, incident management, and change management processes.
• Establish and monitor key ITSM performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Drive proactive and preventative IT operations through enabling continuous insights utilizing the global IT service management practices and establishing capabilities
• Execute vendor and supplier management, ensuring contracts are effectively managed and aligned with business needs.
• Develop and implement a robust vendor risk assessment program.
• Create toolkits and training materials to enhance risk management and control awareness across the organization.
• Monitor compliance with relevant policies and control objectives.
• Facilitate effective self-assessment through a mix of targeted risk and control assessments, incident analyses, threat modeling, and scenario planning.
• Monitor and analyze risks in the context of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and effectively report these KRIs to the technology leadership team.
• Partner with the finance SOX leader to ensure required SOX controls are identified, implemented, and proactively monitored for adherence and edits as needed.
• Coordinate all audit activity and responses, both internally and externally, on behalf of the entire CAAtech department.
• Coordinate all disaster recovery planning and activities across technology teams and partner with the companywide Business Continuity Program.
• Promote a culture of proactive risk management by increasing the enterprise's control awareness through issue self-identification and risk management training programs.
• Provide oversight and risk supervision guidance to employees, colleagues, and/or customers to reduce the organization's exposure to loss.
• Provide aggregated risk supervision for various high impact areas of IT services for core components of IT risk measurement and reporting activities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in business, technology, or similar field preferred.
• 15+ years' experience with at least 5+ years of management consulting, business development, program/project management and/or strategy experience.
• Subject matter expert in Governance, Risk, & Compliance regulations, standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Proven hands-on experience with creating complex business processes and maturing existing business processes in support of sound governance operations.
• Well versed and knowledgeable on applications and tools within the Governance, Risk, & Compliance technology market.
• Demonstrated experience running large scale enterprise programs utilizing matrixed teams of both technology and business stakeholders.
• Skilled application owner able to support all aspects of technical operations such as application design, integration strategy, system configuration & administration, support operations, etc.
• Ability to partner with and appropriately challenge senior leaders across the enterprise.
• Proficiency at translating business and tech priorities into strategies that can be practically implemented to help the business achieve its priorities.
• Strong ability to communicate cross functionally and with multiple stakeholders.
• Capability to guide the technology organization through small- and large-scale change initiatives by developing and utilizing change management tools and approaches.
Where you will be
Hybrid: This role is based in the New York or Los Angeles office.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $235,000 - $250,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
