Job Summary
As part of CAA's Global Safety & Security Organization, this role will be responsible for supporting the development of a programs designed to ensure CAA is prepared to operate safely through dynamic situations and events in the US and globally. The areas of focus for this role will be physical security operations, and support of emergency preparedness, and threat management. This role will report to SVP, Global Head of Safety & Security.
• The ideal candidate for this role will be a team player with versatile, operational and technical skills and the ability to execute on a range of tasks large and small. The day-to-day responsibilities for this individual will include physical security operations of our offices in the Northeast region, including security vendor management, daily review and risk assessment of potential threats and suspicious activity, documentation and security data management, supporting our security systems and technology initiatives, and collaboration with Tech, investigative research, mass communication system management, and support to the refinement of global protocols and procedures for emergencies, crisis management, and physical security operations. The right candidate will have a passion for keeping people safe and working collaboratively with others to get the job done.
Job Location
• Position will be required to be on site at the our New York offices, in Manhattan, New York.
• CAA maintains a fully-vaccinated environment, for the safety and health of employees and guests, to the extent allowed by local law. Responsibilities
• Physical Security Operations.
• Develop, implement, and manage the strategic and tactical planning for the region's security programs in alignment with our physical security standards.
• Demonstrate accountability for regional assets, facilities, employees, and global travelers.
• Identify, develop, implement and maintain security processes across CAA to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and protect the company's people, brand, and assets.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, and training within the region under the direction of the global program leadership.
• Work with in-region agencies, staff, and CAA functional leads (from HR, Legal, etc.) in directing the approach, deployment, and execution of locally-based investigations and risk-mitigation efforts (ensuring compliance with all local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations).
• Maintain close relationships with high-level law enforcement, intelligence, and private sector counterparts, in collaboration with CAA security leadership.
• Work with program leadership on local/regional implementation of security technology and platforms compatible with global strategy.
• Collaborate with the Security Systems team to support and help execute security technology installations regionally.
• Brief senior management on status of regional security issues and engage with security leadership on information sharing and best practices in risk mitigation.
• Serve on regional crisis and incident response teams.
• Build trust and work collaboratively with key stakeholders regionally.
Threat Management Support (e.g. Suspicious Activities, Potential Threats, Unsolicited Material)
• Reviewing and managing incoming digital information--documenting, assessing and escalating as appropriate.
• Supporting threat and vulnerability assessment processes to ensure prioritization of mitigation efforts.
• Providing tactical research/investigative/intelligence support to Global Safety & Security programs – to include conducting research using open source, subscription, and security-related services to monitor and assess current and emerging threats.
• Monitoring emerging vulnerabilities with potential to impact the company or its people.
• Conducting timely queries and research of both internal and external sources to support threat assessment, management, and response.
• Preparing quantitative and qualitative reports identifying and contextualizing links, trends, and metrics.
• Taking lead in executing process improvements for threat management.
Qualifications
• Five (5) years of work experience in corporate security, intelligence, investigations, research, crisis management, emergency preparedness, or other relevant fields.
• Strong tactical execution skills.
• Strong sense of teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service and professionalism.
• Able to work collaboratively and build productive relationships, both external and internal - across levels and functions.
• Strong written and verbal communications.
• Demonstrated ability to be responsive and deliver results in dynamic and ambiguous situations, including when under time pressure.
Location
Required to be in office Monday through Friday in our New York offices.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $114,000-148,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
