OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic PR and Communications Account Manager to join the CAA Newsroom team, a division within Creative Artists Agency's global Brand Consulting practice, to execute creative partnership communications for the agency's high-profile international sport & lifestyle brands.

The CAA Newsroom's mission is to help transform its clients' stories from a tagline into something people care about! Campaigns that journalists' want to cover, stories that ignite conversations over dinner, and ideas you overhear others buzzing about on the commute.

THE ROLE

You'll be joining a team working on some of the latest brand sponsorships in football, and with colleagues that has delivered international coverage on the award-winning Virgin Money Unity Arena, and Gulf Oil's headline-grabbing McLaren livery collaboration in Monaco; as well as partnership communications for other agency clients including Volvo, Sokin, Socios and Getir.

We are looking for candidates who are curious, entrepreneurial and a flair for creative story-telling. They have their finger on the pulse of the news agenda, with relationships and understanding of sports and lifestyle media, and proven results of landing brand-led editorial across broadcast, print and online.

The PR & Communications Account Manager will report to CAA Newsroom Editor, and will be responsible for creating ideas, crafting pitches and placing news and features, whilst working closely with our client account teams to optimise key client milestones.

The ideal candidate will have a knowledge and passion for football, contacts at national sports desks and men's and women's lifestyle media relationships with Hearst and Conde Nast publications, and a track record of placing interviews with talent and brand spokespeople.

Main responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
• Strategy & Planning: Managing news generation from the initial client sell-in to final delivery to media
• Creativity: Pitch ideas to the team, and contribute to brainstorms – show interest and proactivity
• Media Management: An extensive contact book of journalists, strong industry network, and adept at building relationships with key media
• Asset Creation: Oversee production of press materials for activation
• Pitching: High level of written communication skills, crafting media angles and stories and adapting them to different media targets. Sell in stories to target media to drive editorial coverage and opportunities
• Reporting: Monitor media and present all client coverage and articles of interest

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• PR Experience (agency or in-house)
• Track record of successfully managing the PR process from start to finish
• Strong knowledge of the UK media, especially press contacts at national sport, football & lifestyle outlets
• Excellent copywriting and communications skills
• Ability to be proactive and surface story opportunities
• Previous work experience with talent & influencers
