The Role

CAA is seeking an Associate based in Los Angeles for a unique and highly visible position at the company in the Strategic Client Advisory department, at the intersection of Motion Picture, Television and Corporate Strategy. The position is part of a small team across (including ex-consultants and ex-McKinsey) that works to maximize the value of our Film & TV clients in an evolving media landscape.

The Associate will work on a variety of strategic projects including analyzing the media landscape, developing growth strategies for client production companies, supporting CAA's thinking on new client opportunities and defining client value. The candidate should be comfortable driving multiple projects forward simultaneously. These projects will interface directly with company leadership, agents, clients and external thought partners.

The candidate must have a passion for Film and Television and an eagerness to deepen their understanding of the underlying business. The role requires a self-starter with excellent skills in strategic thinking, written and interpersonal communication, presentation, cross-departmental collaboration, and stakeholder management. Expertise in Powerpoint and comfort in Excel are musts.

Responsibilities
• Manage strategy consulting engagements for media companies by leading cross-departmental team to develop a recommendation and coordinating with clients and key CAA stakeholders (incl. leadership)
• Establish working models and frameworks for future consulting engagements
• Lead development of CAA's industry coverage of key buyers (i.e., the strategies, positioning and performance of major studios and streamers), centralizing and synthesizing internal & external sources of information
• Analyze and present key media industry trends to senior leadership, broader agency, and clients
• Develop growth strategies, build pitch decks, business plans and models for talent-driven production companies
• Build knowledge documents in key areas related to talent-driven production companies, leveraging internal and external expertise
• Create visual, data-driven presentations with clear narratives
• Track key trends in the Film & TV deal landscape; contribute to blue-sky ideation sessions on the future of Film & TV dealmaking
• Elevate the group's internal infrastructure and ability to establish process around new initiatives (e.g., knowledge-sharing throughout the agency, scaling production company servicing efforts

Compensation

The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $127,000 - $167,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
