Job Summary

As part of CAA's Global Safety & Security Organization-and under general direction of the West Coast Regional Security Manager-this role will be responsible for day-to-day oversight and onsite management of the contract armed and unarmed guard force in Los Angeles. This role will also engage in drafting and implementing and/or improving standard operation procedures to ensure efficient and effective security operations. The ideal candidate for this role will be a team player with versatile, operational and technical skills and the ability to execute on a range of tasks large and small. The day-to-day responsibilities for this individual will include review and collaboration with teammates to assess potential threats and suspicious activity, documentation of incident reports, and support to the refinement of global protocols and procedures for emergencies, crisis management, and physical security operations. The right candidate will have a passion for keeping people safe and working collaboratively with others to get the job done.

Job Location
• Position will be primarily required to be on site at the CAA office in Los Angeles, California

Responsibilities
• Provides day-to-day oversight and onsite management of the contract armed and unarmed guard force in Los Angeles. Updates post orders. Checks and monitors security equipment.
• Assists regional security managers in coordinating event logistics through conducting event location walk-throughs and organizing Security as needed.
• Assists in the development and implementation of access and perimeter control operational procedures, conveying and verifying security requirements.
• Oversees daily activity reports, incident reports, and investigative write-ups related to local incidents.
• Initiates and implements corrective actions and upgrades to the physical security posture of the company.
• Supports threat and vulnerability assessment processes to ensure prioritization of mitigation efforts.
• Participates in Emergency Response operational plans and related activities as required.
• Coordinates security requirements and assists in planning security for various onsite and offsite activities.
• Participates in liaison with law enforcement, company leadership, and cross-functional partners.
• Oversees elements of department-developed training and awareness materials.
• Defines and delivers a strategic approach to security services by evaluating threats, assessing risk, then planning and implementing appropriate security requirements.
• Ensures quality control in implementation and management of physical security protocols and procedures.
• Delivers written or oral briefings to stakeholders on physical security related topics.
• Seeks solutions and opportunities for improvement in products, processes, and methods across all aspects of physical security.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent with more than 8 years progressive experience in the armed forces security, military police or with a law enforcement, public or private sector security organization.
• +3 years of experience of developing and implementing departmental strategy and processes.
• Strong tactical execution skills
• Leads change, solves problems, and builds relationships with partners across functional and organizational lines
• Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service and professionalism
• Able to work collaboratively and build productive relationships, both external and internal - across levels and functions.
• Strong written and verbal communications
• Demonstrated ability to be responsive and deliver results in dynamic and ambiguous situations, including when under time pressure

Compensation

The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $113,000 - $130,000.

This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria. Please talk with a CAA Recruiter to learn more

Salary Details
Salary Range: $113,000 to $130,000 Per Year ($ USD)
