The Role

As part of CAA's Global Safety & Security Organization, this role will be responsible for overseeing the local/regional implementation and maintenance of Global Safety & Security programs at CAA – to include physical security operations protocols, workplace safety related awareness/training programs, security vendor management, systems evaluation, law enforcement liaison, events security support, crisis management and elements of emergency preparedness and business resilience program implementation.  This position will be based in New York and cover all of CAA's US-based facilities in the Southeast and East Coast.  The person who assumes this role may also be called upon to support safety & security program implementation in other regions globally.  The ideal candidate for this position will be a team player with a passion for keeping people safe and working collaboratively with others to get the job done.  This role will report to the Global Head of Safety & Security.  

Responsibilities

Physical Security & Investigations 

Responsibilities include those such as:  
• Documenting and responding to security incidents. 
• Implementing security procedures, identifying gaps, and assisting in the revision or creation of new protocols to meet emerging needs. 
• Supporting investigations as needed.  
• Assessing effectiveness of existing security systems and workflows.  
• Recommending improvements in coordination with other Global Safety & Security leadership.  
• Ensuring management of contract Security Officers (as applicable) and working in collaboration with building security guard force. 

Relationship Building & Liaison 

Responsibilities include those such as:  
• Establishing and maintaining active relationships with key stakeholders and management at all CAA offices in the region. 
• Establishing liaison relationships with law enforcement, intelligence & fire/emergency service agencies in applicable jurisdictions . 
• Fostering productive and ongoing relationships with applicable property management representatives (building security, facilities, etc.,) at leased properties wherein CAA
operates . 

Training & Preparedness 

Responsibilities include those such as:  
• Providing guidance, advocacy and instruction to all regional offices in support of CAA's Global Safety & Security program. 
• Delivering a variety of awareness training & advocacy programs (Emergency Preparedness; Emergency Communications; Workplace Violence; etc.,) in collaboration with local stakeholders. 
• Facilitating tabletop exercises at local and regional offices focused on emergency preparedness, crisis management, resilience, etc.  

Risk Analysis & Threat Assessment 

Responsibilities include those such as:  
• Provide support on assessments related to CAA offices, events, or other locations or activities as needed. 

Program Management 

Responsibilities include those such as:  
• Preparing and delivering metrics on program and incident activity occurring in the region. 
• Ensuring compliance with established standards of care, government regulations, and industry standards. 
• Participating in and supporting other program activities as needed. 

Qualifications
• 7+ years physical security experience, with at least several years in a corporate/private sector setting. 
• CPP or other relevant certifications and industry memberships preferred. 
• Prefer red experience include s elements of emergency/incident response and/or threat management. 
• Strong communication and presentation skills. 
• Calm under pressure, strong leadership skills, strong organizational skills. 
• Advanced skills in all Microsoft products. 
• Strong sense
of teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities.  Able to work collaboratively and build productive relationships, both external and internal - across levels and functions. 
• Ability to travel 20-25% of the time. 

Location

Position will be primarily required to be on site at CAA office(s) in New York, California but will have broader regional scope – primarily across the East and Southeast US.  

Compensation: The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $120,000-$163,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
