The Role

As part of CAA's Global Safety & Security Organization, this role will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing implementation of Security Technology systems, working in close collaboration with physical security operations leadership and interdepartmental partners such as IT and Facilities.  This individual will also play a key role in strategy – to include research and advising on the most appropriate physical security techniques to accomplish
objectives .  Among the responsibilities, this role will make informed recommendations on physical security systems, tools, and service requirements for the company.  Areas of responsibility may include but will not be limited to:   access control, video management / surveillance, alarms, smart cameras, emergency and mass communication platforms, and security-related document management systems.  

The ideal candidate for this role will be a team player with a depth of technical knowledge and versatility to execute on a variety of security systems and vendor management tasks, large and small.  The right candidate will have a passion for keeping people safe and working collaboratively with others to get the job done.  This role will report to the Director of Global Security Systems, Data and Analytics.  

Responsibilities

Security Technology Strategy & Standards 

Responsibilities include those such as: 
• Defines physical security system standards, policies, required upgrades, maintenance and day-to-day management of all security systems through system integrators or internal resources. 
• Implements technology solutions aligned with corporate security strategy and budget guidelines – for example, emergency communications platforms. 
• Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the state of the art security equipment standards and technology encompassing all physical security products. 

Guidance & Coordination on New Installations, Upgrades, Conversions 

Responsibilities include those such as: 
• Coordination, installation, upgrade and conversion or servicing of alarm systems, access controls, video cameras, burglary, radio systems and all other types of physical security equipment. 
• Provides system solutions to specific security concerns identified through stakeholder requests and security audits. 
• Develops and maintains
operational processes to ensure security standards are maintained . 
• Acts as a primary contact for security system emergency issues. 

Vendor Management 

Responsibilities include those such as: 
• Directs and manages external relationships to ensure the viability of all physical security systems, legacy and new, with the goal of minimal business disruption as the result of failed or improperly configured systems.   
• Provides product research, feasibility studies, project planning, tracking and quality assurance and overall vendor communication and management. 

Audits & Controls 

Responsibilities include those such as: 
• Develops and administers processes for frequent audits for various access control systems

Qualifications
• BA/BS degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in corporate security and workplace safety preferred.
• Experience in Symmetry AMAG, Lenel and Genetec access control systems preferred.
• CPP, PSP or CISSP Certification preferred.
• 3 + years of experience in managing security professionals or security monitoring centers desired . 
• 5 years of experience in managing the operation and installation of regional and/or global physical security systems and security software, additional years of experience in a leadership capacity a plus. 
• Advanced knowledge and experience with the Security Integrator Industry. 
• Knowledge and experience in working with information technology security application and practices. 
• Strong sense
of teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities.  Able to work collaboratively and build productive relationships, both external and internal - across levels and functions. 
• Advances skills in all Microsoft products. 
• Ability to travel 20% of the time. 

Location

This role is based out of the Los Angeles office; In office M-Th, Friday flexible

Compensation: The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $120,000-$160,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
