The Department

CAA Brand Consulting is the entertainment & sports marketing agency within CAA. Our mission is to drive cultural brand relevance for our clients by tapping into CAA's connectivity to pop culture. Leveraging our deep relationships and influence with studios, networks, labels, leagues, teams, venues, events, media, and content platforms, we provide a range of strategic and marketing consulting services to corporate clients around their entertainment & sports strategies.

The Role

The CAA Brand Consulting team has a Social Impact service offering that works with outside entities (for-and-non-profit organizations) that wish to establish or improve their social impact, using resources to bring their social mission to life, which includes work to help clients strategize on broader approaches to business and brand purpose. We advise clients in this area through a process of discovering their social purpose, and understanding how and where they want to affect change. CAA then designs a comprehensive, start-to-finish strategy(ies) that can shift principles into action. This position will support the teams' priorities servicing clients ranging from client service, strategy development/execution, and creative team management.

Responsibilities
• Act as a lead strategist and principal point of contact on existing and new business
• Research, develop, recommend, and execute creative strategies to further client's impact commitments
• Interact directly with C-Suite level clients to manage expectations and meet deadlines
• Research and analyze the strategies, policies, and programs of new and existing clients
• Prepare pitch decks, proposals and materials for new business opportunities
• Travel to various cities to work with clients supporting new and existing business
• Act as an internal and external representative for CAA's Social Impact policies and projects
• Work across the agency to activate client projects and find new opportunities
• Represent the Social Impact team at internal events and meetings
• Manage and train junior staff members
• Work with account teams on client briefings with best practices, campaign deliverables, go to market strategies
• Liaise with other key internal departments (i.e., analytics, creative services, experiential) to support group-wide projects
• Help grow the Social Impact team's network and visibility by attending conferences, CAA events, and functions
• Demonstrate strategic thinking by supporting output of perspective pieces and participating in thought leadership opportunities

• Demonstrated track record of designing, activating and managing brand led programs
• Agency experience preferred
• Skilled in secondary research with the ability to gather data and synthesize insights across brand categories and the entertainment industry
• Understanding of mainstream social issues and the curiosity to dig deep on specific topics (e.g., sustainability, human rights, mental health, food insecurity, education/literacy, etc.) (or to keep the topics/interest broad - Expert understanding of the social impact landscape and mainstream social/cultural events)

• Must be adept at problem solving and thinking quickly on his/her feet
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Qualifications
• Minimum BA/BS from an accredited University or College required
• Minimum 7 years, with at least 2 years of brand and/or strategy experience
• Must have prior experience writing briefs and be prepared to share writing samples
• Entertainment knowledge and understanding of the pop culture landscape preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams
• Ability to travel extensively and attend work events outside normal business hours on an as needed basis
• Experience working on new business pitches, to support when opportunities arise

Location

This role will be based out of our New York city office Tuesday - Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely Monday & Friday

Compensation

The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $120,000 - $150,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
