Job Description
We are seeking a UE Environment Modeler to join our team as soon as possible, as we are ramping up for our third BRON Digital show!
Requirements:
Role & Responsibilities
• Work closely with Environment Supervisor and Lead to keep quality and style consistent across all environments
• Work closely with the art team to construct various spaces and landscapes based off conceptual designs at proper production quality
• Work closely with the Pipeline team to develop new or improve upon
old technologies to improve environments.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that assets are delivered in a timely manner
• Collaborate to determine objects, layout compositions and scenery elements required and adjust accordingly to the story
• Respond to and implement changes according to feedback
• Work resourcefully within the production schedule, manage files and meet deadlines
• Provide prop asset models under the supervision of the Production Designer and work collaboratively with the Art team and Rigging team
• Encourage good working practices for the team and colleagues to work together collaboratively
Qualifications
• 2 years or more of experience in a similar position
• A portfolio demonstrating knowledge of artistic fundamentals, visual communication and principles of design and modeling
• Ability to execute detailed and realistic environments
• Strong knowledge of Maya and/or 3Ds Max
• Solid sculpting level in ZBrush
• Experience with Unreal Engine is an asset
• Strong experience with maps of different textures
• Good knowledge of UV mapping
• Understanding of lighting, color and scene composition
• Knowledge of environments: have good awareness of city spaces and landscapes
• Have strong understanding of form, colour, texture, and light
• Sense of autonomy, responsibility and attention to detail
• Self-driven, dedicated to advancing your craft, and eager to learn new techniques and software
• Demonstrated ability to manage time and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Positive attitude and ability to give and receive constructive feedback
