HYBRID - £70k - £75k [+ uncapped commission + bonus scheme]

The client, British Board of Film Classification, is an independent media regulator and content compliance data provider and their purpose is to help everyone in the UK choose age-appropriate films, videos and websites, wherever and however they watch or use them.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role will primarily focus on B2B SaaS sales in the media and entertainment industry

The BBFC have invested heavily in creating state-of-the-art software platforms, they are now seeking to make this technology commercially available. Initially, this involves two scalable AI-driven SaaS content compliance solutions targeted at the media and entertainment industry. These are designed to bring significant cost savings and time efficiencies to in-house age labelling and compliance processes.

The successful candidate will be a high flyer who has a proven track record in SaaS sales and establishing a sales pipeline. The BBFC is committed to seeing its technology utilised more widely in the OTT sector, and will rely on them to establish and grow its presence in these, and other markets.

This is an outstanding opportunity for the candidate to shape the commercial arm of the BBFC and become a leader in the media and entertainment SaaS field.

> As a Senior Business Development Manager you will:


+ Work with the Head of Product (HoP) and Head of Business Services (HoBS) to develop and implement the Sales Strategy and Go-to-Market plan for the BBFC’s SaaS products

+ Develop a sales pipeline.

+ Execute a structured sales process to close opportunities

+ Forecast quarterly sales figures

+ Achieve sales revenue targets in line with agreed targets

+ Assist in building the Sales Material, Processes and Structures required to scale the product globally

+ Travel when required (predominantly within the USA and Europe) to meet with sales prospects and for customer relationship management.

+ Assist the Head of Product to identify, pursue, and close new strategic partnership opportunities in Media & Entertainment in order to increase product reach.

+ Provide general support to the Head of Product and Head of Business Services.

+ Be a great team player, willing to participate in projects or tasks that may be outside daily responsibilities.


> Essential skills and qualifications:


+ Proven B2B software sales experience, with experience in meeting or exceeding sales targets

+ Experience in selling SaaS products. Specific experience with AI and ML technologies is an advantage

+ A “hunter” mindset who is focused on driving new business to close

+ A self starter who is able to see what needs to be done and then does it.

+ Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to quickly build relationships with customers and partners

+ Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the client organisation, including executive and C-level

+ Experience in working in a small, dynamic organisation

+ Strong attention to detail, self-motivation and good follow-through

+ An excellent communicator, highly motivated and passionate about closing deals

+Willing to travel as necessary in support of territory activities

+ Experience negotiating with international organisations

+ High level of personal and professional integrity

+ Excellent time management skills


> Desirable Skills:


+ Demonstrable Media and Entertainment industry experience

+ Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Working Hours


Monday to Friday - 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm
