Freelance Shipping Coordinator - Big Ten Network
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Big Ten Network is looking for a Freelance Shipping Coordinator to join their team in Chicago, IL. As the Freelance Shipping Coordinator, you will coordinate shipping logistics via SOS, UPS, and other shipping vendors to B1G Network trucks and sub trucks. Additionally, you will work with the engineering, remote, and graphics departments to ensure that all on-air material/elements, and equipment are being sent out to all events.
This freelance role is approximately a 9 month position from Mid-August until late-May, 2022 and is a 40 hour, Monday-Friday, work week.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Quality control all B1G Network gear before the start of and throughout the season
• Maintain and track inventories throughout the year
• Keep set storage space clean and organized
• Send out shipping reports for each remote event
• Upload all shipping reports and inventory lists onto BOX
• Create gear list for individual boxes
• Confirm with vendors delivery and return info for remote orders
• Communicate with Operations Coordinators for on site contacts and delivery/pickup times
• Update spreadsheet of venue address and location contacts
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to create Excel reports/spreadsheets
• Capability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work at a computer fo long periods of time
• Working knowledge of broadcast equipment
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Outstanding oranizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
