Overview

Audacy is looking for a VP/Podcast Sales & Client Partnerships. This role will have responsibility for the podcast LOB to meet its revenue goals by aligning content, sales, and operational strategies. Must have strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills, with ability to work with cross functional teams including sales, marketing, planning, yield management, and business development.

The VP/Podcast Sales is responsible for the day-to-day national sales strategy and is ultimately looked at as the SME (SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT) on the team for Podcasting. The VP/Podcast Sales & Partnerships will be involved in developing sales/marketing strategies, establish training programs/innovation sessions for sales teams to help exceed sales goals. This person will have their finger on the pulse of all that is going on in the world of Podcasting. From the latest innovations, to research, brand safety, measurement and attribution advancements.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

The role of VP/Podcast Sales & Partnerships of Podcasts would provide support across major functions:
• LOB Management, Planning and Strategy
• Partnerships and Biz Dev
• Strategic Ad Sales and Revenue Growth

LOB Management, Planning, and Strategy:
• Partner with internal stakeholders to maintain and expand high demand podcast inventory
• Assist in annual budget preparation activities
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on strategic direction for LOB for audience growth
• Work with analytics and planning teams to understand and leverage available inventory to ensure maximum rate and sellout percentage
• Attend cross functional team meetings to discuss updates, issues, and recommendations
• Project management of important initiatives and leadership of cross-functional and cross-divisional projects related to the podcast LOB

Partnerships & Business Development
• Grow podcast inventory through strategic alliances with other media companies and content creators
• Manage relationships with distributed networks and other 3rd party content creators to increase marketing opportunities
• Work with Partner Management team to identify and expand revenue opportunities across partners' ancillary LOB's such as live events, social, licensing, etc.
• Analyze deal structures/economics of any audience driven acquisition and other 3rd party revshare relationships

Strategic Ad Sales & Revenue Growth
• Support multiple sales team org's as subject matter expert across the entire podcast portfolio, including but not limited to attending client meetings, educating on the differences/nuances of podcast ad sales, and identifying target accounts
• Create sales strategies and packages to transition efforts to a full platform/audience sell vs. individual shows
• Distribute competitive marketplace ad spending reports (SPAN, Magellan, etc) and assist sales management in distributing sales leads within each agency holding company/sales territory
• Collaborate with Planning team on pricing and packaging
• Collaborate with Ad Solutions on creation of sales collateral and packages
• Align with sales leadership on ad revenue strategy and goals
• Provide support to National Enterprise Team leadership on seller/agency updates, sales pipeline, and process
• Present content and industry updates at team sales meetings

Qualifications

More About You:

Required & Preferred:
• 5+ years experience in sales in the media industry, podcast sales experience preferred
• Relationship Management Skills
• Knowledge of Audio Streaming, Product Placement and Sponsorship Ad Opportunities
• Stellar Communication Skills
• A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required
