Overview:
The Receptionist / Traffic Reporter serves a dual role supporting both on-air traffic reporting and front-office operations. This position is responsible for gathering, producing, and delivering accurate traffic reports across broadcast and digital platforms while also providing professional receptionist and clerical support to the Wilkes-Barre market. The ideal candidate is organized, articulate, and able to multitask in a fast-paced media environment.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:

Traffic Reporting & On-Air Responsibilities:
• Voice live and recorded traffic reports for Audacy stations on broadcast and digital platforms.
• Gather, write, record, edit, and deliver traffic reports in accordance with Audacy Inc. standards and FCC guidelines.
• Monitor traffic-gathering data sources, including traffic cameras, scanners, and other reporting assets.
• Post, edit, and manage traffic-related content on Audacy social media platforms (e.g., Twitter/X).
• Provide live sponsor reads within designated traffic reports, including logging commercials and reporting discrepancies as needed.

Reception & Administrative Responsibilities:
• Greet clients, visitors, and guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Answer incoming phone calls, route calls to appropriate personnel, and take accurate messages when necessary.
• Provide callers with general information, including addresses, directions, website details, and other related inquiries.
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and overnight packages; prepare and send outgoing mail.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to various departments as needed.
• Support the Central Traffic Team to ensure sales orders are processed accurately.
• Review station logs for commercial and promotional content to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with Sales Management and Account Executives using WideOrbit systems to maximize inventory.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications

Required:
• Excellent phone etiquette and strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workload effectively.
• Professional appearance, reliability, and punctuality.
• High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory motor vehicle record check; proof of insurance required if using a personal vehicle for work-related duties.
Preferred:
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Experience with WideOrbit.
• Knowledge of Wilkes Barre area Traffic geography.
• Prior experience in broadcasting, traffic reporting, receptionist, or administrative support roles.
